Sworn in today. I held up my right hand and repeated some oath. Then the judge signed our registration cards. The firm had a champagne get-together afterwards. Hors d'ourves. Suits. Flash photography. Toasts and handshakes. Now I just need to fill out the registration card (black ink only) and drop it in a mailbox.Had a nice chat with my office neighbor about how scared he was when he found out his results. I was a bit moved by the way he talked about it. Clearly, bar membership is something he takes very seriously.
The secretary asked if I felt any different now. I told her no. But now that I think about it, it does feel different. For the first time, I stopped looking at the people I work with as my mentors, but my peers. I am just like them (even the old ones).
Of course, that'll all change tomorrow when I have to ask the para again how to use the doc review software...

Congrats! And thanks for freaking me out... did I use black ink?... I don't remember.
You may have to take the test over again.
Wahoo! It's finally official.
Thank you.
I got my bar card in the mail on Friday... now I just need to find the occasion to whip it out. "Oh, you wanted my driver's license? Sorry officer..."
Cool. I think I'm just going to wear mine around my neck like we did with the Barbri card.
